Courteville Weekend 2018: A Return to Rock City

The Easter tradition tagged “Courteville Weekend” which sees the entire staff of Nigeria’s dependable e-business solutions company, Courteville Business Solutions Plc take a trip strictly for fun outside the confines of the office for the Easter holidays. Abeokuta in Ogun State was the destination for this year’s trip making it a second trip to the Rock City in as many years.

It was the perfect time for staff to carry out their quarterly Employee Civic Engagement (a solely staff initiative) and the Neuropsychiatric Hospital also known as Aro was the chosen place to visit.

After the visit to Aro which was capped with giving the patients gifts, the staff whom were lodged at the Green Legacy Resort owned by former President Olusegun Obasanjo had their lunch and rest before turning out later in the day for the football tournament amongst the staff. After dinner, the guys had some time to relax before the club outing which was also within the hotel. This brought the first day to a close.

The Oba thanked all present and also expressed his joy whilst welcoming the people of Courteville to make Abeokuta a permanent fixture during its yearly Easter Retreat. Oba Gbabebo did not fail to appreciate the creative genius of Esther Odanga (Kenyan Citizen) who molded a beautiful artifact which was presented to him by Courteville’s Group Managing Director (GMD), Dr. Adebola Akindele. Dr. Akindele also gifted the Oba with catalogue which was a representation of the Nigerian history depicted by pictures. The visit to the palace was wrapped up with a brief photograph session of the Courteville staff with the Oba.

Next on the itinerary was rest and lunch before the short trip to GMD’s wonderful abode where staff and other guests were hosted to food, drinks, games and music from a Disc Jockey (DJ) and Live Band.
