Courteville holds 3rd Convocation/Award Ceremony for Middle Management Trainees

Nigeria’s foremost e-business solutions company, Courteville Business Solutions Plc on Wednesday March 28, 2018 had a convocation ceremony for participants of its Middle Level Management Training. The intensive training which spans through 9 months of a year has 3 levels with the pioneer set graduating and those on Level 2 and 3 going a level up. The proud Chief host of the day who also happens to be the Group Managing Director of the organization Dr. Adebola Akindele spared no effort in ensuring the day was a success, using the platform to launch a brand new hall which was used for the event.

The Keynote speaker of the day was none other than the Professor Abiola Sanni who spoke on the topic “Public Partnership as a Panacea for Economic Revolution in the 21st Century”. Professor Sanni is a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria with over 26 years post call experience and is also the Managing Partner of Abiola Sanni & Co, a firm of tax & transactional lawyers providing wide range of services to local and international clients on corporate practice, tax planning & litigation support services, arbitration, company secretariat service, immigration, energy law, etc. He is a Fulbright Fellow and a holder of a doctorate degree (Ph.D.) from the University of Lagos in Commercial Law (Tax Law) where he is a Professor of Law with specialty in Tax Law.

He was recently appointed as the Chairman of the National Committee on the Review of the Nigerian Tax Policy, a project which is set to establish a sustainable framework for the revamping of the Nigerian tax system. Prof. Sanni has handled cases at all levels of the judicial system in Nigeria from the Tax Appeal Tribunal up to the Supreme Court.

Invited guests for this wonderful occasion were Mr. Collin Chikeluba, the CEO of Maison Fahrenheit who endowed the best student in the course Entrepreneurship for Business Managers with a sum of N250, 000 (Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira), Ms. Adeola Adepoju the General Manager of the Lagos Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (MVAA) who was also the Chairman of the occasion was accompanied by some her colleagues in the MVAA. Other guests include Managing Partner at Synergy Capital Managers Mr. Ayo Arogbo along with the Head of Human Resources Mrs. Yetunde Adenaiya, Head of Research at BudgIT Mr. Atiku Samuel, Dr. Folake Olowokudejo of the Faculty of Management Science at the University of Lagos, Executive Director at Pan African Capital, Director of Research & Consultancy Centre for Management Development Mr. Bode Newo and Mr. Victor Ligbago of Great Place to Work Nigeria to mention a few.

Both leadership consulting and training firms, Leadership Development Consulting and Long Strides Associates whom played significant roles in conceptualizing and facilitating the program were also ably represented by Mr. Andrew Lana and Mr. Wale Oyenekan. The Managing Partner of Leadership, Mr. Ken Njoku and Managing Consultant of Long Strides Mr. Wale Oyenekan also rewarded the best overall students in Level 2 and Level 1 respectively with N100, 000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira).

Mrs. Bisi Adeyemi of DCSL who was represented by one of her colleagues gifted the best student in Business Ethics, Law, Brand Management and Corporate Governance with a cheque of N100, 000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira).

The GMD along with the Management Team were also not left out in endowing the top performers in various courses with cash prizes. The company apart from these cash rewards also promised to continually develop the staff.

To wrap up the well-attended event, the Deputy Managing Director of Courteville gave the closing remark and prayers.
