Six schools have qualified for the final stage of the Courteville Stem Quiz Contest (Brain star), organised by Courteville Business Solution in collaboration with Lagos State Educational District IV. At the semi-final, nine schools competed, with six schools becoming victorious. They are Sanya Senior Grammar School (first), Eletu Odibo (second), Surulere Senior Secondary School (third), Westley Girls High School (fourth), Lagos City Senior College (fifth), and Surulere Girls High School (sixth). The schools will compete at the final stage for the grand prize on March 15.
Three schools were withdrawn: Aguda Senior Grammar School, Obele Community Senior High School and Birrel Avenue High School, and expressed disappointment at their inability to qualify for the final round. A pupil of Birrel, amid tears, said she prepared so much for the competition. She lauded the organisers for giving the schools a chance to showcase their intelligence.
