If a brand genuinely wants to make a social contribution, it should start with who they are and not what they do. For only when a brand has defined itself and its core values can it identify causes or social responsibility initiatives that are in alignment with its authentic brand story (Simon Mainwaring). The second edition of the Courteville Business Solutions Plc organized Skill Acquisition Program which is a CSR initiative of the organization run by the staff and has been earmarked to be a biannual event was held at the office’s Head Office in Sabo.
The program which was a 3-day event, started on the 23rd of November and climaxed on the 25th of November, 2016 witnessed a larger turnout than the session held in March. The Group Managing Director, Dr. Adebola Akindele of Courteville gave an opening speech which culminated in him giving nuggets of being an Entrepreneur before the program proper started. There was also a guest speaker by the name of Precious Adeho, where he reiterated what Dr. Akindele shared in his own way.
The 3 days of intense learning was wrapped up with an exhibition where the participants put on show the skills they learnt on the final day. The exhibition declared was opened by the GMD who also patronized some of the trainees.
A certificate of attendance was handed to all participants.
