Hi luvies, so sorry for my absence these past few weeks which was due to an important leave, was away from home serving my fatherâs land popularly known as theÃÂ NYSC orientation camp and the network reception was so bad there.
I missed you all and Iâm happy and excited to be back, canât wait to share all the juicy gist with you guys, but on todayâs post Iâll be featuring an outfit inspired by an Ankara material which I picked up from my mumâs wardrobe, it just gave me this wonderful idea to work with and bam! it turned out really beautiful.
Over the years, the Ankara fabric has defined Nigerian women fashion and it has been worn in several ways ranging from iro and buba to the nicely cut out peplum tops,skirts ,dresses and so on. It didnât restrict its versatility to be also worn as a turban. The turban isnât a Nigerian fashion trend but it has been adopted and remodified by using our very own native Ankara fabric which in turn makes it very gorgeous and African.
I paired a black top and a black ripped jeans (which I ripped myself), with an Erica Elite collections custom made camel trench jacket and paired a teal green sandal heels to compliment the patterns on theÃÂ Ankara turban.
I also accessorized this outfit with a black moschino leather belt, a statement necklace with teal green and royal blue detailing, a pair of gold loop earrings, and an Aldo snake skin hand bag.

Of course, as a professional makeup artist I had my face beat done by myself and nothing brings out the beauty of a very nice paired outfit than a cool makeover (follow my makeup page on instagram @glambyviolastyles).
A lot of ladies really donât understand the importance of also slaying with your faceâ¦i would advice you to always have a complete slay look with your outfit as well as your face and hair too which would make you stand out as a classy and trendy diva.
