WORLD OF KNOWLEDGE LAUNCHES NEW APP WIKIFLIP

The creators of WikiMaster, World of Knowledge (WOK), has launched a new learning app WIKIFLIP to allow easy search and learning through images. The app was launched in Lagos in January at an interactive event tagged “Flipping to Learn Everything” hosted by African Women in Technology.

“Wikipedia has so many fantastic images to help explain facts about the world, and with WikiFlip, we have put all images used in Wikipedia at the centre of the focus,” said Erik Bolinder, the founder of WOK Project.

“You can search anything on Wikipedia and learn by swiping, scrolling and flipping. With WikiFlip we now have a perfect entry app to WOK ecosystem that focus entirely on learning with ease,” he added.

Bolinder also stated that the organisation has created a portal to help students study easily for UTME/JAMB Examinations through the WikiMaster App. He said WikiFlip, has 180403 images to flip in the WOK database which increases daily and also “flip questions in English, Arabic, Swedish and French! WikiFlip is also connected with WikiMaster.”

The WikiFlip App which is fondly referred to as “an Instagram for the Brain” among members of the WOK community creates knowledge network that currently build the social platform for learning worldwide.

The app launch was attended by over 65 participants, who interacted with the app for the first time, and mastered ‘WikiFlipping’, and produced over 250 questions on topics relevant to Nigeria. However, the two learning app WikiFlip and WikiMaster are currently available in Google Play and AppStore.
