In the 4th edition of Jobberman’s annual review of Best Places to work in Nigeria, Courteville Business Solutions Plc moved up 17 places to claim 3rd position.
Jobberman is arguably Nigeria’s biggest online job site with the sole aim of linking up recruiters with jobseekers and also offer career advice.
Courteville, the number one provider of e-business solutions in Sub-Saharan Africa was runner-up to EMC Corporation, an American owned multinational corporation at the 4th Great Place to Work Institute (Nigeria) awards in 2016 and is still very much on course with its 5 year vision of being the “top 3 places to work in West Africa”. A vision which was conceived in 2013.
The demographics considered for this laudable feat were job satisfaction, salary bracket not forgetting proximity to home with the key parameters of the respondents being experience level, salary level, gender and age, years of experience and most importantly job satisfaction.
Jobberman also highlighted that the core focus/factors considered when selecting the best place to work in Nigeria was good welfare and benefits asides from salary, career advancement prospects, job security, good pay package compared to other companies in the industry and learning opportunities.
Jobberman further stated the traits associated with the top 25 companies on the list of 100 were “Good Welfare and Benefits asides from salary, Career Advancement Prospects and Job Security”.
All the mentioned top 3 traits are a core of Courteville and the Group Managing Director (GMD) of Courteville, Dr. Adebola Akindele who is a confirmed advocate for career progression also preaches the essence of having the spirit of entrepreneurship amongst his staff at any chance he gets.
In the list of 100 best places to work compiled by Jobberman, Andela was named first with United Bank for Africa (UBA) being runner-up. The GMD has stated that the company will intensify efforts in ensuring Courteville is number one come 2019.
