Nigerian physician tells expectant mothers to stop drinking tea and bread and provides explanations

Pregnant women are urged to quit drinking bread and tea by a Nigerian physician who goes by the twitter handle Dr. Olufunmilayo. The doctor, whose mission is to save lives, provided numerous arguments against the consumption of bread and tea by expectant women.

The doctor claims that overeating bread, tea, or coffee hinders the body from absorbing iron while a woman is pregnant.

The tweet adds, “Taking a lot of bread and tea may be detrimental if you are pregnant.” Tea and bread in excess hinder the body’s ability to absorb iron. A lack of iron during pregnancy might result in: a little baby; an early delivery; or a baby who dies during or after delivery. RT, please. Protect a life

“Many women experience low blood pressure as a result of pregnancy alone. Some of these women are given iron supplements to raise their blood levels. Tea and coffee are now known to hinder the body’s ability to absorb iron. Additionally, the effect is worse when taken with food like bread. The general recommendation is to avoid drinking too much bread and tea at once, especially if you are pregnant and have health issues.
