Courteville Preneur – Lola Ajala

The fall out of the 3-Day Skill Acquisition Program which has held twice (March and November, 2016) at the Courteville Head Office in Sabo Yaba, Lagos has birthed the Courteville Preneur Series where you get to meet the trainers of the session. The facilitators who took part in the Program would be interviewed on a weekly basis during this series and the first interviewee is Lola Ajala.

My dad is late and my mum is a business tycoon.”

 

MY FAVORITE CHILDHOOD MEMORIES: the joy of having my Dad back us and play with us.

 

I have never done anything crazy before neither do I have regrets in life, ALHAMDULLILAH.”

 

AS A CHILD: I wanted to be a Nurse but started dreaming differently when I discovered I did not like blood.”

 

I FOUND MYSELF BAKING:because I love cooking and exploring, my passion for cooking led me to baking.”

 

MY GREATEST SUPPORT COMES:from my MUM because she bought me my very first mixer after I graduated from catering school.”

 

WHEN I LOOK IN THE MIRROR:I see a very beautiful and strong Muslima.”

 

I DESCRIBE MYSELF:as a Muslima, beautiful, petite and a determined person.”

 

BAKING TO ME:is the combination of passion, creativity and determination.”

 

AN ADVICE FROM ME TO THE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO ARE ASPIRING TO VENTURE INTO BAKING: ” is to be passionate as it entails hard work, but with determination when you start from scratch, you will definitely get there.”

IN FIVE YEARS TIME: “I see myself as an owner of a large baking shop like CAKES AND CREAMS or even bigger delivering quality cakes to people.”
