On the 1st of June, 2017 Courteville Business Solutions Plc held its 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research which is situated at 6, Edmund Crescent, off Murtala Muhammed Way, Yaba, Lagos. The AGM kicked-off at exactly 11:00am with an opening prayer by one of the expected shareholders setting the event in motion before the National Anthem was sung by all present.
The Chairman proceeded in introducing the Board of Directors, the Company Secretary (A Jackson, Etti and Edu representative), a representative from the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), the Nigerian Stock Exchange representative, the Audit Committee and the Company Auditors. The Company Secretary was called upon to brief all present on the Minutes of the last AGM and the Company’s Auditor represented by its Managing Partner Mr. Thompson Aiyegunle updated those in attendance on the Audit Report of the last financial year ended December, 2016.
The Chairman of the Audit Committee also briefed all present about activities of the Committee over the financial year ended and also stated on behalf of the Audit Committee the satisfaction of the Audit Report. The Risk Management Committee was equally commended and encouraged to remain consistent.
The shareholders had questions and comments for the Board of Directors on the performance of the organization which led to the continued confidence of the Board in stirring the ship of Courteville forward.
The AGM also had on its agenda the retirement of 3 Non-Executive Directors on the company’s board and the ratification of the appointment of one new Non-Executive Director. The retired Directors were however appreciated by all present with the tune “Jolly Good Fellow”.
The AGM was closed with a prayer and the National Anthem.
