Shareholders pass vote of Confidence on Courteville Board and Management at 13th AGM

Courteville Business Solutions Plc on Thursday June 28, 2018 held its 13th Annual General Meeting (AGM). The event which took place at the company’s head office on 38, Commercial Avenue Sabo Yaba, Lagos and kicked off at 11a.m witnessed a very large turnout by shareholders and stakeholders alike. After all present were welcomed by the Chairman, Group Captain Muritala Osuolale Salami (Rtd), an opening prayer was given by one of the shareholders before the National Anthem was sung.

The Company  Secretary, Jackson, Etti and Edu represented by Yeye Nwida gave information on the business of the day while all present accepted the Chairman’s speech as read and certified okay in a bid to get down to the business of the day. While a couple of questions were raised as regards the content and direction of the organization especially on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), there were several commendations from shareholders as to how the company had fared and its quest to get better with major highlights being the efforts the management put in reducing the volume of debt and the building of a hall for events which will take the burden off money used to rent halls, not forgetting the value the company places on the staff productivity and welfare. The shareholders and stakeholders present also commended the efforts the Management of Courteville put in ensuring the AGM was well organized.

The Group Managing Director, Dr. Adebola Akindele was able to allay the fears of all present stating there was nothing to worry about and in response to the CSR query, Dr. Akindele was able to clear the air that the CSR initiatives were targeted at the less privileged in particular.

To wrap up the beautiful event the Chairman declared himself ineligible for reelection and retired as the Chairman of the company after 10 years at the helm, while every other thing remained the same with the stakeholders and shareholders passing a vote of confidence on the Board and Management of the organization before the opening prayer was said.
