Mofolusade: The Mumpreneur

The staff of Courteville were blessed with the presence of Mofolusade Sonaike the 11th Guest Entrepreneur and 5th female of the Guest Entrepreneur Series on the 28th of February, 2017.  Mofolusade who is popularly known as the Mumpreneur and who’s background was in Engineering (studied Chemical Engineering in Unilag) worked for 4 years garnering experience in the IT, Banking and Manufacturing sectors also bagged an MBA before quitting to become an entrepreneur. She is regarded as an entrepreneurship advocate and a serial entrepreneur.

Mofolusade is the CEO of branded.ng and also the Creative Director of mumpreneur.ng which is a networking, support and capacity building platform for women joggling motherhood and business. She however cannot speak about her sojourn into the entrepreneurial world without making mention of her pioneer project which was a gift consulting online business known as Trezorlandia Limited.

She has been a strong voice for entrepreneurs in the country most especially mothers. Her major aim is to raise more African women who plan on running successful businesses without having to sacrifice the home front. Mofolusade is a gifted writer who also actively writes about her activities in a bid to help women succeed in business.

The  Mumpreneur is an associate member of the Institute of Entrepreneurs, Nigeria as well as the National Association of Small and Medium scale enterprises. Mofolusade who is passionate about learning and is also a Techno Entrepreneur alumnus of the Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Techno-Entrepreneurship Program.

Mofolusade was quick to point out that her journey to being an entrepreneur was not easy but with the support of her family she has been able to pull it off in her chosen path. She was miserable and frustrated at first but came out the better for it due to her perseverance. She started her mumpreneur.ng blog in 2013 but she didn’t feel she made an impact with it until 2015 when people really started reaching out to her.

She signed off by asking all present to always ensure they had a core message they passed across and they should always drive home the point on what would they like to be remembered for.
