Adebola Akindele Revisits Alma Mater

The Group Managing Director of Courteville Business Solutions Plc Mr. Adebola Akindele took a trip to his Alma Mater, the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in Osun State as a Keynote Speaker at the 3rd International Conference on Accounting, Finance and Management. The 3rd edition of the Conference which was a 2day event spanning between April 5 & 6, 2016 was held at the Conference Center of the Obafemi Awolowo University which was full to capacity, leaving a number of people standing. The International Conference also coincided with Mr. Akindele’s Entrepreneurial Talk at the Agricultural Science Department where he graduated from majoring in Animal Science.

The Conference’s Theme which was tagged “Accounting and Management Practices in a Globalized World: The Missing Link” was set out to be a knowledge based event to enlighten the students and guests alike on the way forward in improving Accounting and Management practices and Mr. Akindele was on hand to deliver his well detailed speech with his usual impacting passion without a PowerPoint slide. He rounded up advising those present to take down points from other speakers present and see if any can be adopted for the Nigerian space and the world at large.

After speaking for about 20 minutes at the Conference Center and taking pictures with a number of people present at the hall he was quickly whisked away to the Agricultural Science Department to speak on his ascension in the world of Entrepreneurship.

The talk at the Agricultural Science Department was to commemorate the Department’s 50 years of being in existence and in attendance were alumni, lecturers, students of the Department and invited guests. The session was wrapped up with an Interactive session amongst the alumni of the department on discussions regarding its 50th anniversary celebration.
